Cold Front Cool Words

We used the Coldfront Performance T cooling shirts throughout our Olympic Qualifying Campaign in Fiji in March 2008. Temperatures were 30- 33 degrees with humidity around 90%. The team played 5 games in 9 days with kick off times predominately at 2.30pm in the afternoon – the heart/ heat of the day.

The Coldfront Performance T's were used during the warm up – allowing our players to warm up effectively and complete all their warm up drills.

They were also used at half time and also we pre-soaked all our playing shirts pre national anthem (prolonging the pre cooling effect) and again at the start of the second half.

Logistically there were no issues with transportation of the recharge fluid and shirts and the amount of time pre-soaking the shirts was minimal. Pre game there was no/ little preparation – making the use of the shirts/ fluid simple.

The feedback from all the boys was extremely positive with all players stating they felt the cooling effect pre game/ half time and when they went out for the second half. Most players felt it contributed to their performance and made them play “better”.
